Wendy was commissioned in 2000 to build a human resources database for a newly created strategic public body. Microsoft Access was the application used to develop this database. With input from principle users Wendy quickly grasped what was required and set about producing a database fit for our needs. Wendy was able to provide us with a database ideally suited to our requirements and in addition to the initial build, Wendy provided maintenance and further development of the system for over 5 years. During this time we also requested a similar database to manage our recruitment function and again this was delivered to our satisfaction. Wendy also worked with officers to build a suite of reports for management information purposes. The system development was all fully documented and this was used as a basis for the GLA to develop its specification for a full tender exercise when the decision was taken to purchase a fully fledged industry standard database. For example on a recent project Wendy worked with an in-house HR Business Partner on the requirements. She then did the design, development and testing of multiple PowerApps data capture forms with Flows, before handing over to client's own IT support to deploy and maintain. Wendy also provided PowerApps and Flow training to their IT Support team to ensure knowledge transfer was achieved.
